Description of Course:
This course teaches Basic First Aid, CPR, and AED skills for children and infants, and is ideal for childcare workers who may need to meet regulatory requirements.
We provide CPR Training Services for:
Childcare workers, Foster parents, teachers, recreation staff, community staff, camp counselors, sports coaches, trainers, new parents, guardians, caretakers, and anyone involved in child care who has a responsibility to respond to a cardiac emergency involving a child or infant.
Upon successful completion of the course with the New Guidelines 2015 Standards, the student will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course eCard. Course Completion eCard is valid for 2 years expiration date on eCard.
Course Content:
- Pediatric First Aid
- Asthma Care Training for child-care providers
- Child and Infant CPR with mask
- Child and Infant AED
- Child and Infant Choking (Conscious and Unconscious)
- Pediatric First Aid topics: eye injuries, fever, suspected abuse, snake, spider, scorpion, tick, marine animal bites, and stings.
Student MUST pass a skills test to qualify for a Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course Completion eCard.
