Description of Course:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Update (Renewal) Classroom Video-based Instructor-Led course covers lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR, high-performance team dynamics, communicated systems of care, recognition of and intervention in cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

We provide CPR Training Services for:
Healthcare Professionals such as physicians, medical students, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, paramedics, EMT’s, First Responder firefighters, police officers, and other allied health personnel.

Early management of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) and Stroke
Early management of bradycardia arrhythmias

ACLS Update (Renewal) Course is a one day Traditional Classroom Instructor-Led Course designed for Healthcare providers who are renewing and are confident in their ACLS knowledge and skills.

Student MUST Pass a Written Exam (84%) and Skills Testing in order to qualify for an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Course Completion eCard by the American Heart Association. New Guidelines by American Heart Association students can use the ACLS Providers Manual while taking the Written Examination.

Upon successful completion of the course with the American Heart Association 2015 Guidelines, the student will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course Completion eCard. ACLS Course Completion eCard is valid for 2 years expiration date on eCard.

Book:
ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Providers Student Manual or eBook is required for class. Each student MUST have own copy of ACLS Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Student Manual or eBook for class. Each student MUST bring in a current American Heart Association Book or eBook to class. If not current, each student MUST purchase a Student Book and CPR Heart of Angels must enforce policy. No sharing of Student Book or eBook allowed. Each Student MUST have a current Student Book.

American Heart Association requires all students to have a student manual or eBook to study before, during, and after class. The eBook replaces your Student Hardcopy Manual. ACLS Renewal: ACLS Providers Current Course Card/eCard MUST be valid not expired. Please bring a copy of your ACLS Providers Course Card/eCard on the day of your course for CPR Heart of Angels. Please bring original ACLS Providers Course Card/eCard. If your ACLS for Providers Course Card/eCard is expired you will need to take the ACLS Providers (Initial) Course.

All participants MUST take the ACLS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Online with American Heart Association before taking the ACLS Course. Please bring a copy of your ACLS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Examination with you on the date of your ACLS Course. Student MUST pass the ACLS Pre-Course Self-Assessment with a score of 70% or higher. There is not a limit on how many times you can take the Pre-Course Self-Assessment Examination. Once you have enrolled and paid for the ACLS Providers (Initial or Renewal) Course and purchased the ACLS Student Manual, CPR Heart of Angels will email you with an access code that allows the student to access the American Heart Association website to complete the ACLS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Examination.

BLS for Providers Current Course Card/eCard MUST be valid not expired. Please bring a copy of your BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard on the day of your course for CPR heart of Angels. Please bring original BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard. If your BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard is expired, you will need to take the HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online Part 1 with American Heart Association and on the same day of your ACLS Course, complete HeartCode BLS Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing. Once successfully completing BLS for Providers, a Course eCard will be issued.

BLS for Providers Course eCard – HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online:
You must have Current BLS for Providers prior to taking the ACLS Providers (Initial) or ACLS Update (Renewal) Course. You can take the HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online Course which covers the cognitive portion of the course Part 1. This convenient Internet-based program will allow students to train at their own pace, anytime, and anywhere there is internet access. You can take the HeartCode BLS Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing on the same day as the ACLS Course.

HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online Part 1 with American Heart Association. You can take the HeartCode BLS Course Online at: www.onlineaha.org

Each Student Training MUST purchase one HeartCode BLS Online Access Key with American Heart Association. Student will pay American Heart Association directly.

Complete HeartCode BLS Part 1 Online with American Heart Association
HeartCode BLS will allow student to select a track In-Facility or Prehospital before starting modules. Please select the correct track.
Student access to the Online version of the Basic Life Support for Providers Student Manual. Student is NOT required to purchase Student Hardcopy book since you have access to the online version.
After successfully completing the HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online with American Heart Association, please print the HeartCode BLS Course Completion Certificate and bring a copy on the day of your ACLS course. On the same day, you will complete HeartCode BLS Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing for HeartCode BLS Course Completion eCard.
