HeartCode Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Hands-On Skills Practice, Debriefing, and Skills Testing with an American Heart Association Instructor-Led Classroom Video-based Course.
Blended Learning: The HeartCode PALS Blended Learning Online eLearning is combined with self-directed online training with American Heart Association Instructor-Led Classroom Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing. After completing the eLearning component, student will attend a structured Instructor-Led PALS Hands-On Session with American Heart Association Instructor, Course that focuses on Skills Practice, and uses a variety of eLearning assets, dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, and interactive activities for student PALS knowledge and skills.
HeartCode PALS is a comprehensive program that uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concept of a systemic approach to pediatric assessment, Basic Life Support (BLS), PALS Treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. Using eSimulation technology, students can acces and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students can also apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each simulation to facilitate learning.
This HeartCode PALS Blended Learning Online Course Covers the cognitive portion of the course Part 1. This convenient Internet-based program will allow the students to train at their own pace, anytime, and anywhere there is internet access.
Student has Online Access to the Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Providers Manual, Student does not need to purchase PALS Providers Student Hardcopy Manual since the manual is online with the American Heart Association.
Student has online access to the 2015 Handbook of Emergency Cardiovascular Care for Healthcare Providers .
Student has access to all HeartCode PALS content for 24 months following activation of course key. Students pay American Heart Association for Part 1.
Student eligible for continuing education credit for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitionaers, nurses, pharmacists, and emergency medical service providers.

- Complete the Course Part 1 with American Heart Association
- Student access to the Online version of the HeartCode PALS for Providers Student Manual. Student is NOT required to purchase Student Book since you have access to the online version.
- After successfully completing the Blended Learning eLearning Online American Heart Association Course. Please call CPR Heart of Angels at (210) 287-5932 and schedule your structured Instructor-Led HeartCode PALS Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing
- Each Student MUST present a copy of the printed HeartCode PALS Certificate of Completion Course you received from the online course by American Heart Association. If no copy of the Certificate of Completion is available, class will be rescheduled for a later date and time.
- Each Student MUST present a copy of current BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard and current PALS Providers Course Card/eCard on the day of the Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing
- Instructor will verify your HeartCode PALS Certificate with American Heart Association before starting Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing to confirm that the student successfully completed Part 1 Online.
Student MUST pass Written Exam completed Online (84%) and Student MUST pass Skills Practice and Skills Testing in order to qualify for a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Providers Course Completion eCard by American Heart Association. New Guidelines by American Heart Association students can use the Pediatric Advanced Life Support for Providers Student Manual while taking the eLearning online Written Examination.
All participants MUST take the PALS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Online with American Heart Association before taking the HeartCode PALS Course. Please bring a copy of your PALS Pre-Course Self-Assessment Examination with you on the date of your HeartCode PALS Course. Student MUST pass the PALS Pre-Course Self-Assessment with a score of 70% or higher. There is not a limit on how many times you can take the Pre-Course Self-Assessment Examination.
BLS for Providers Current Course Card/eCard MUST be valid not expired. Please bring a copy of your BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard on the day of your course for CPR heart of Angels. Please bring original BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard. If your BLS for Providers Course Card/eCard is expired, you will need to take the HeartCode BLS Blended Learning Online Part 1 with American Heart Association and on the same day of your PALS Course, complete HeartCode BLS Hands-On Skills Practice and Skills Testing. Once successfully completing BLS for Providers, a Course eCard will be issued.

Upon successful completion of the course with the American Heart Association 2015 Guidelines, the student will receive an American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course Completion eCard. PALS Course eCard is valid for 2 years expiration date on eCard.
